COOKIE POLICY
Your browser. Your settings. Your choice.
Last Updated: November 202601. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains the browser technologies used by Northstar Crown and the choices available to you. The website is an information directory, with no visitor accounts or payment processing. Its own stored records support an adult age confirmation and your consent preferences. Optional maps are controlled separately. Reading this page does not require you to enable analytics or marketing, and the directory remains usable when optional categories are disabled.
02. Understanding Cookies
A cookie is a small record a website can ask a browser to store and return with later requests. Local storage is another browser facility: it keeps values available to pages from the same origin but does not automatically attach them to every request. The distinction matters because this site’s preference records use local storage. Third-party services loaded with permission may use their own technologies, governed by their own documentation and your browser controls.
03. How Our Website Uses Browser Storage
Two named records are used by the site: northstar-age and northstar-consent. The first records that the age question has been confirmed. The second holds the optional category choices and their expiry. Neither record contains the contact-form message, a payment card, a hotel reservation or an account password. Preferences apply to the browser and site origin in which you save them, so another device or address may ask you to choose again.
04. Strictly Necessary Technologies
The age confirmation and consent record support the site’s access and preference controls. Essential settings are always active in the preference panel. A valid age record allows movement between pages without repeating the same question. The consent record remembers both acceptance and refusal, making it possible to honour Essential Only on later visits. These records are not an advertising identifier and are not used to calculate a gambling profile or travel budget.
05. Functional Preferences
Functional permission controls embedded Google Maps on hotel pages. It is optional and starts off unless previously enabled by you. With permission, a map is requested from Google for the hotel address. Without it, the written address and direct contact information remain available. The Enable Map control opens preferences; it does not silently change your choice. Turning functional permission off removes existing map frames from the current page and prevents their creation on subsequent pages.
06. Analytics Technologies
An Analytics switch is available so the preference interface can retain your category choice. No analytics script, measurement service or analytics cookie is installed by this version of the website. Enabling the switch therefore records a preference without starting visitor measurement. We do not invent cookie names for services that are absent. If analytics is introduced in a later version, its provider, purpose and storage behaviour would need to be explained before it is activated.
07. Marketing Technologies
The Marketing switch also stores a category preference only. This website currently has no advertising pixel, retargeting script or behavioural advertising integration. Selecting it does not enrol you in a mailing list or share your contact-form fields with an advertiser. A future marketing service would require an updated explanation and appropriate consent handling. You may keep the category off without affecting access to destination information or the ability to follow official hotel links.
08. Age Verification Storage
The northstar-age record is valid for thirty days after confirmation. It stores a positive confirmation and an expiry time rather than your date of birth. The website asks visitors under nineteen not to continue and keeps the adult content blocked when that option is selected. Browser confirmation is not documentary identity verification and does not replace casino admission checks. Deleting the record makes the question appear again when the site next loads.
09. Cookie Consent Choices
The banner offers Accept All, Essential Only and Manage Preferences. Accept All enables the optional category choices, including functional maps. Essential Only saves them as disabled. Manage Preferences lets you review and save each switch individually. Nothing requires optional categories to be accepted together. A previously saved choice appears when settings are reopened, helping you see the current state before deciding whether to change it. Changes take effect after you save.
10. Third-Party Maps and Embedded Content
Google Maps is requested only after functional permission. Its provider may process an IP address, browser details and other information associated with displaying and interacting with the map. Third-party behaviour can vary by browser and provider settings. We do not list fixed third-party cookie lifetimes that we cannot control. Google Fonts is requested through the stylesheet for typography and is not managed by the map toggle; see the Privacy Policy for that separate connection.
11. Local Storage
Local storage remains within the browser profile until cleared or removed by the site. It is distinct from a server-side visitor account, and the website cannot synchronise your choices across devices. Private browsing modes may clear records when the private session ends. If storage is unavailable or blocked, the site handles the failure without storing form data elsewhere; however, the age question and preference banner can return when you visit another page.
12. Storage Duration
Consent preferences are valid for one hundred and eighty days and age confirmation for thirty days. Each record includes an expiry timestamp checked when the site reads it. An expired record is then removed and the relevant question can be shown again. These are validity periods rather than a promise that a closed browser automatically deletes data on the exact expiry date. Manual deletion is available through browser settings at any time.
13. Changing Your Preferences
Use Cookie Settings in the footer on any page to reopen the preference panel. Review the switches and choose Save Preferences to apply the new state. Disabling functional content removes map frames on the page, but does not undo requests already made to Google while permission was active. For additional control over third-party records, use your browser’s site-data tools and the provider’s privacy settings. You can change your choice again later.
14. Browser Privacy Settings
Most browsers allow you to inspect site data, clear local storage, restrict third-party cookies and manage history or autofill. The names and location of those controls vary. Consult your browser’s current help pages for precise steps. Clearing data can affect other websites if you select a broad deletion option. To limit the effect, choose the record for this website’s origin. Browser extensions may also block fonts or maps without changing the preference stored here.
15. Policy Updates
The Last Updated date identifies the version of this explanation. If storage practices change, the policy should describe the actual new technologies rather than retaining outdated examples. A saved category preference does not mean that every possible future service is already installed. Review the policy and preference panel when returning after a significant change. The current version does not operate analytics or marketing services, regardless of how those two preference switches are set.
16. Contact Information
For questions about Northstar Crown’s browser records, contact [email protected] or +1 (604) 555-0184. Our stated location is Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Please describe the browser feature or preference you are asking about without sending passwords or other sensitive information. A concern about Google’s mapping data should also be directed to Google’s own privacy resources. Hotel reservation cookies are controlled by the hotel websites and fall outside this directory’s preference panel.
